The Broad Institute is proud to once again be participating in the annual National Postdoc Appreciation Week, September 16-20, 2013. The weeklong celebration was founded in 2010 by the National Postdoc Association to honor and recognize postdocs for their contributions to research and development in the United States.

This year, the Office of Academic Affairs and the NextGen Association for Postdocs and Grad Students has organized a series of events to say thank you to our dedicated community of trainees:

NextGen Association Open House and Lunch. On Monday, September 16, from 12:00-1:00 PM in the Rainier Room (7CC, 5^th Floor), NextGen chairs will be on hand to answer your questions about the association. Feel free to drop by, grab some lunch, and meet with your peers.

Trainee Appreciation Breakfast. The Office of Academic Affairs will be hosting its second annual Trainee Appreciation Breakfast on Tuesday, September 17, from 9:00-11:00 in the Olympus Room (7CC, 1^st Floor).  There will be hot breakfast (french toast, bacon, breakfast burritos, oatmeal, and coffee, of course!) and a raffle. Stop by when you have a chance to start your day!

Postdoc/Grad Student Monthly Social. On Wednesday, September 25, from 4:00-6:00 in the Monadnock Room, there will be a special Postdoc/Grad Student social. Feel free to invite your PI (but they’re only invited as your guest!).

All events are open to all Broad-affiliated academic trainees.
